End of Summer

Well, summer is over and the often hectic first week of school has gone buy relatively smoothly. University starts on Monday so I thought I would take these last few days of freedom to update the blog and let everyone see some current pictures of Sumire.

Summer was very busy. We spent a month in Canada visiting and introducing Sumire to family and friends. There was a baby shower for Sumire (we had to buy another suitcase to get all the presents home!), a trip to Whistler, blueberry picking, a trip to Victoria/Nanaimo and numerous dinners with friends!

Thanks everyone! It was an eventful schedule; the time flew by! After Canada we visited with Yuki's family for an action packed 10 days (festivals, onsens, bbqs, etc) before heading back to Tokyo for the start of another busy and exciting school year.

Thanks to all of you who put us up over the summer. We truly enjoyed everyone's hospitality. We hope to see you all next summer when Sumire is a little more mobile!
