The Backyard
It isnt much compared to Canadian backyards but in Tokyo the size of our backyard is a luxury. The grass is looking really good right now - a challenge with the Japanese climate. Sumire enjoys playing out here and Jeff and Yuki do too! The herb garden at the side is doing well too.
Sumire's birthday and Golden Week
For Sumire's birthday we went to the photographer and had some pctures taken. Here is one of the ones with her in a kimono which is traditional for the 3rd birthday.
Golden Week at the end of April/start of May is one of the biggest holidays of the year in Japan. All the family (except Kenji who had to work) went to Yuki's mom & dad's place for a few days. Sumire had great fun playing with her cousins - so much fun she missed her naps and was up well past her bedtime! Jeff and Yuki got out to play some golf too!
The weather on the way down was great. Here is a nice shot of Mt. Fuji.
Here are some shots of the kids. It was Kotaro's birthday so we had a big party for him (he's 8 now!). Enjoy!
