Pre-school entrance ceremony

On April 5th, Sumire had her entrance ceremony at preschool. Although she has been going there since she moved here, this would be her first 'start to the school year' hence the entrance ceremony (school years start in April in Japan).

Girl's day

March 3 is girl's day in Japan (only May 5th, boy's day, is an actual stat holiday though) and we all got together at Kumi's for food and fun. Enjoy the pix.

Sumire is 5!

Spring break

The weather was getting warmer during the break so Sumire tried out her rollerblades.

Sumire and Daddy went to the big aquarium in Osaka.

We also went to Jiji and Baba's for a couple of days. Sumire had a great time at the park with her cousins.
