Sumire's Haiku

If you are not familiar with Haiku's, they are three line poems that follow a 5-7-5 syllable pattern.

Sumire made the following one during Grade 2.

The sun is shining!
It is sunny today, Yeah.
Playing in the sun.

Spring Break

Last week was Spring Break and for the first few days we visited Sayo and Toshi at their cabin in Niigata. There was a lot of snow on the ground and it snowed pretty much the whole time we were there. Sumire got to go skiing again and is getting pretty good! We also took a day trip to see the famous Japanese snow monkeys which hang out in the natural hot-springs of Nagano.
